Forwarding to a human#
Found something a teammate needs to see? Forward it. You can forward a message, an approval, a deliverable, an attachment, a skill result, a task, or a Trace row — to a person (as a DM) or to a channel. The forward carries its provenance (where it came from), an optional note, and an @mention that pings the recipient.
Ceiling — Forwarding an approval shares visibility, it does not transfer the decision — the authority to approve stays where it was. Every forward is recorded in Trace.
You can only forward something you can already see; forwarding never grants access you didn't have.
Notifications#
damn.dev is an installable progressive web app (PWA) with push notifications. Install it from your browser's install prompt, then enable push in your preferences to get pinged on mentions, approvals you need to act on, and other activity — even when the tab is closed.
Agents can also reach you on external channels like Telegram and WhatsApp, if your operator has set those up.
Personal preferences#
From the account menu, open Preferences to:
- Enable push notifications on this device.
- Set a phone number that matches your WhatsApp, so messages route to you correctly.
- Switch theme (light / dark).
- See your own AI spend — your estimated 30-day cost, when your operator has enabled it (Console → Security → Team permissions → "Employees see their own AI spend"). Fleet-wide usage stays operator-only.
- Track your requests — the status of any agents or skills you've asked an operator to add (pending / fulfilled / declined).
These are personal to you and your device; they don't change anything for the rest of the workspace.
Desktop app — On the desktop app, the account menu also has "My device & privacy": what this machine reports to AI-tool discovery, the coding agents connected on it, and launch-on-startup. It's available to every role.
